Draft notice: this is a starting-point privacy policy for Time Telecast's website and comment system. It describes what the code in this repository actually collects and does today. What this policy covers
This policy applies to timetelecast.com and covers information we collect from visitors who read our articles and from readers who create an account to comment.
Information we collect
- Account information: username, email address, and password (stored only as a one-way hash — we never store or can see your actual password) when you register.
- Profile information you choose to provide: display name, bio, and avatar.
- Content you post: comments and replies, which are public and visible to anyone, including anyone you @mention in them.
- Technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used to operate and secure the site.
We do not require or collect payment information at this time.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (your session tokens are stored in cookies that JavaScript cannot read, to protect your account). We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, this policy will be updated to describe them before they go live.

We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the site (for example, cloud hosting and storage providers), under obligations to protect it, or where required by law.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete any comment you've posted at any time from the site. To request deletion of your account entirely, contact us (see below) and we will remove your account information, subject to anything we're legally required to retain.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Children
Time Telecast is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users.
